The Clerk & Comptroller provides the public with online access to records of thousands of dollars in unclaimed funds. These funds were collected by the Clerk's office prior to January 1, 2014.
Funds must be claimed on or before September 1, 2015 (in person at the courthouse by 4 p.m. or electronically filed by 5 p.m.). Claims filed after September 1, 2015, will not be processed and such funds will be forfeited.
What are unclaimed funds?
Unclaimed funds fall into the following categories:
- Cash Bonds: paid to the sheriff for release from jail pending the disposition of a court case. The funds were not reclaimed after the case was disposed.
- Civil Deposits & Bonds: construction lien bonds and bonds or deposits for civil court cases.
- Garnishments: deposits into the registry for payment of a garnishee’s attorney fees.
