Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller, Palm Beach County
Home MenuInternational Access FAQ
I get an error when trying to access your online services from outside of the United States. What am I doing wrong?
For security purposes, you must use a VPN (virtual private network) to access online services such as eCaseView, Official Records, Jury Services and more from outside of North America. The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s office does not explicitly endorse a specific VPN. Any VPN that simulates the user’s traffic as originating in the United States should be sufficient. Here is one option:
- Navigate to https://account.protonvpn.com/signup/account and select Get Free to create a ProtonVPN account.
- Follow the steps on the page to create an account.
- Once your account is created, select the appropriate ProtonVPN Client depending on what kind of computer you are using (Windows/Linux/MacOS, etc.) to download the VPN.
- Install the application.
- Open the application and sign in.
- Once signed in, select to use the United States on the left side of the application as your IP country of origin.
- You should now be able to access our online services without issue. Remember to disable the VPN after you complete your transaction, or your computer will run slower than usual.
