Have you received a call from someone who claims to be a Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s office employee? Our office periodically issues alerts when we've been made aware of schemes where people impersonate Clerk employees in order to get others to send money or disclose personal information, such as their Social Security number or bank account numbers.
If you receive a call and you are unsure about it, write down as much information as you can about the call and contact the Clerk’s office at (561) 355-2996.
If you think you may have been the victim of a scam, you should contact your local law enforcement agency or the Florida Division of Consumer Services at 800-HELP-FLA (Florida residents) or 850-410-3800 (from outside of Florida).
