This driving safety course is specific to violations of F.S. 316.306(3a). In addition to taking the course, you are required to pay costs in the amount of $106. You must notify the Clerk of your election and pay the costs either by mail or in person at a Clerk's office location within 30 days of the citation’s issuance.

• If you choose to elect the Wireless Communications Device driving safety program for this violation, it is important to select the appropriate course. See a list of authorized providers from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. 
• Taking the Wireless Communications Device course will waive the points assessed by this citation.  
• The Wireless Communications Device Course must be completed within 90 days from the date of your election. Failure to complete the course within 90 days will result in the issuance of a suspension for failure to complete the course and an additional late fee. 
• Upon completion of the Wireless Communications Device Course, you must provide proof of course completion to the Clerk. This may be done in person or by mail at one of our locations.
• Persons with a commercial driver license (CDL) are eligible to take the Wireless Communications Device Course.
• The Wireless Communications Device Course does not count as an annual or lifetime school election.

• The points will be waived upon completion of traffic school.
