Confidential Information

Pursuant to Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration (RGPJA) 2.420, it is the filer’s responsibility to ensure that when confidential information is contained within a court record, that either a Notice of Confidential Information within Court Filing or a Motion to Determine Confidentiality of Trial Court Records is filed. Filers of circuit civil, county civil and small claims court documents will be solely responsible for ensuring that confidential information is redacted or is identified for redaction.

The Notice of Confidential Information and/or the Motion to Determine Confidentiality should be electronically filed in the same eFiling transaction as the document that contains the confidential information.

Marsy’s Law

Marsy’s Law governs public access to, and the protection of, victims and the victim’s family information. This rule is governed by RGPJA 2.423.

Sensitive Information

The filer is responsible for minimizing sensitive information in accordance with RGPJA 2.425. Certain sensitive information must be truncated or removed.

Orders which make information confidential must be posted in accordance with RGPJA and Administrative Order 2.303. View all posted documents per AO 2.303.
